This is a FREE .pdf pattern download created by Kerry Lord to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, 6th May 2023 and has been designed as a crochet replica of the real St. Edward's crown.
The centrepiece of the crown jewels of Great Britain, the St Edward's Crown is the crown used only at the moment of coronation. It was made for Charles II in 1661 and has a structure of four crosses-pattée and four fleurs-de-lis, and two arches topped with an orb and cross and has become the emblem associated with the British monarchy used on everything from passports to the Royal Mail logo.
The real St Edward's Crown weighs in at a heavy 2.23 kg and includes 444 precious and semi-precious stones. The materials used include gold, silver, platinum, enamel, tourmalines, topazes, rubies, amethysts, sapphires, garnet, peridot, zircons, spinel, aquamarines, velvet, and ermine.

MEASUREMENTS: When finished your crown will be approximately 13cm tall and is designed to fit a standard Edward's Doll Emproium Doll made in DK yarn.
SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience. Refer to video for full sewing up instructions.
